The northern service centre, minutes from the M57
Acclaim opened this centre on 1 January 2015 to cover the north of England, and it is on Kitling Road in Prescot, a few minutes from the M57 and within easy reach of the M62 and M6. The transport links are the point: this depot runs its own vehicles, which is what makes short-notice hire and a fast service response possible over a large area.
It is the widest patch any of our centres covers, reaching from Cheshire and Greater Manchester up through Lancashire and Yorkshire to the North East and into Scotland. The Port of Liverpool, the Knowsley estates and the distribution parks along the M62 are all on the doorstep.

Our own transport, and what it buys you
This centre runs its own vehicles, so a machine is loaded and moved on our own schedule, and a short-notice hire is a single conversation.
The same applies at the end of a hire: collection is booked when the hire is, and it happens when it is supposed to.

A large area, covered deliberately
Covering the north from one building only works if the planning is right. Servicing is scheduled by area, so the round is planned geographically, so an engineer in a given part of the region has a full day’s work there and is close by when something goes wrong.
For sites that need a machine permanently, contract hire folds the truck, its servicing and its LOLER thorough examinations into one monthly figure, which removes the scheduling problem entirely.
