Scrubber, sweeper or both

The split is simpler than it looks. A sweeper picks up dry debris, grit and litter. A scrubber drier puts down water and detergent, scrubs, then lifts the dirty water straight back off so the floor is walkable again in minutes. If a site has both loose debris and ground-in dirt, sweep first and scrub second, or use a combined machine. Getting that order wrong is the usual reason a floor still looks poor after cleaning.

Walk-behind or ride-on

Area and obstruction density decide it. Walk-behind machines suit tighter spaces, aisles and areas broken up by racking or fittings. Ride-ons cover ground far faster and make sense once the open floor area is large enough that walking it becomes the limiting factor. Battery run time matters as much as deck width: a machine that has to stop and recharge halfway through a shift is not covering the area you sized it for.

Match the machine to the floor

Sealed concrete, resin, tile and food-grade surfaces all behave differently, and so does the soiling. Brush type, pad pressure and detergent all change with the surface, and the wrong combination either fails to lift the dirt or wears the floor. If you are unsure, tell us the floor type, the area in square metres and what is being cleaned off it, and we will specify the machine rather than sell you the biggest one.

Specialist cleaning

Not every job is a floor. The ranges above also cover pressure washers, steam cleaners, industrial vacuums and dust extraction, carpet and upholstery cleaning, vehicle cleaning and dry ice blasting, which cleans without water or solvents and is useful where an item cannot be soaked or dismantled. We supply machines from trusted brands including Karcher, in both walk-behind and ride-on formats.

Servicing and support

Cleaning machines earn their keep only while they are running, so servicing matters more than the purchase price. Servicing and repairs start from £90 ex VAT. Our team is on hand Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, and the emergency callout line runs 24/7 if a machine goes down outside those hours. We also run fleet management for anyone with mixed kit across several sites.

Buying, hiring and delivery

Everything here can be bought outright, financed through lease purchase, contract hire or operating lease via a third-party funder, or hired. Part exchange is open on any make and model, working or not. All our prices are ex VAT. We deliver nationwide from our depots at Purfleet, Kent, Reading, Portsmouth, Rugby, Norwich, Spalding and Liverpool, with transport charged separately depending on where you are.
