What we hold, and why that matters
Our depots carry over £1 million of forklift parts for all makes of forklift truck and materials handling equipment. That figure is the point of this page: a part that is on a shelf in the UK today is a truck back at work tomorrow, and a part that has to be ordered from a factory abroad is a truck standing still for a fortnight.
Stock covers the things that stop a truck and the things that wear out on a schedule: tyres, forks, chains, hydraulic seals and hoses, filters, brake components, contactors and switchgear, mast rollers, batteries and charger parts, seats, mirrors, beacons and lights. We also supply parts for attachments and ancillary equipment, which is where a lot of suppliers stop.
We have been supplying and servicing materials handling equipment since 1982, from eight depots with our own engineers, so the parts operation exists to support a working service department rather than as a catalogue on its own.
Genuine STILL, Hyundai and Lonking parts
Acclaim is the exclusive UK dealer and distributor for three forklift brands, and we hold genuine parts for all three. Dealing with the distributor rather than a reseller matters for two practical reasons: parts come with the manufacturer’s part number and warranty, and where a part has been superseded we can tell you what replaced it instead of selling you the old number.
The three ranges came to us at very different times, and only one of them goes back to the beginning.
- STILL parts, since 1982. Acclaim was the first and original STILL dealer in the UK and has been the exclusive UK distributor ever since, so STILL forklift parts are the range we have held longest by a very wide margin.
- Hyundai parts, since 2013. We have supplied the Hyundai materials handling range since 2013, and stock Hyundai forklift parts alongside the STILL range.
- Lonking parts. Lonking is the third brand we hold an exclusive UK appointment for, and we stock Lonking forklift parts on the same basis as the other two.
More on the other ranges we support: Flexi narrow aisle, Aisle Master and Combilift. We supply parts for many other makes besides, so a truck that is not on that list is not a problem.
Genuine OEM or compatible: which you actually want
We supply both, and we will tell you which we would fit ourselves.
| Aspect | Genuine OEM | Compatible |
|---|---|---|
| Part number | The number and tolerances set by the manufacturer | Made to the same specification by a third party |
| Warranty | Manufacturer backed | Supplier backed, terms vary |
| Cost | Higher | Lower |
| Right for | Safety critical items, mast and hydraulics, machines under warranty | Consumables and wear items on an older truck |
What we will not do is quietly substitute one for the other. If you are quoted a compatible part, the quote says so.

Parts for older machines
We hold parts for machines up to around 20 years old, not only current models. This is the single most common reason people end up on the phone to us: a truck that still does its job perfectly well has been declared unsupportable by somebody else.
Where a part is genuinely obsolete there are usually still options: a superseded equivalent, a pattern part, a repair to the original component, or a refurbished unit. If none of those work, that is the point at which it is worth talking about part exchange rather than spending more on a truck that has reached the end.
Have the serial number to hand and we can usually identify the part on the first call.

It is not only forklifts
We supply parts across the range of equipment we sell and service, from manual pallet trucks through powered pallet trucks, stackers and reach trucks to VNA equipment, access platforms and construction equipment. We have nationwide supply routes for machinery we did not sell you.
For manual handling equipment such as pallet trucks and lift tables, small items are often quicker to buy outright than to repair. If you are weighing that up, our equipment listings show what a replacement would cost.

How you get the part
Three ways, depending on how urgent it is and whether you have someone to fit it.
- Collect from your nearest depot, if you are close and you want it now.
- Overnight courier to your site, which covers most orders placed during the working day.
- Fitted by our engineers, which is the right answer for anything hydraulic, structural or safety related, and for anyone without a maintenance fitter on site. Our engineers work out of eight depots, and they also carry out planned servicing and repairs.

What we need from you to get it right first time
Ordering the wrong part costs more time than ordering no part at all.
Four things make it quick:
- The serial number. On most trucks this is on a plate on the chassis or stamped into the frame near the mast. It identifies the exact build, which matters because the same model changes across production years.
- Make and model, read from the data plate rather than from memory.
- What the machine is doing wrong, not only which part you think you need. A symptom often points at a different component from the one that gets blamed.
- A photograph of the part or the area, if you have one. It resolves more calls than any amount of description.
If you do not have the serial number to hand, ring anyway. Our team can usually narrow it down from the model and the year.
Parts, servicing and the paperwork
Fitting a part is often not the end of the job. If a repair touches the lifting function, the machine may need a fresh thorough examination before it goes back to work. And if you run more than a handful of trucks, our fleet management reporting tracks parts spend per machine, which is usually how a truck that is quietly costing more than it is worth gets spotted.
If a machine is off the road and you need cover while it is repaired, short term hire can put a stand-in truck on site. If the machine has stopped and the work cannot wait, urgent and critical repairs is the faster route. Where the work is too big to do on your site, we can move the machine to a depot and back on our own lorries: see forklift transport.
Have the serial number to hand and we can usually identify the part on the first call.
