On the M27, between the harbours
The South Coast Centre is at Unit B on Oak Park Industrial Estate in Cosham, on the northern edge of Portsmouth and directly on the M27. That puts Portsmouth, Havant, Fareham and Southampton within a short run in either direction, with Chichester and the West Sussex growers to the east and Bournemouth and Poole to the west.
It is a coastal patch with a particular mix of work: port and marine handling, food and horticulture, and the industrial estates strung along the motorway. Machines here live with salt air, which is hard on a truck and makes a proper maintenance schedule worth more than it is inland.
The centre carries hire machines, a parts store and mobile engineers covering the whole coast.

Salt air is hard on a forklift
Machines working near the water corrode faster than machines that do not. Mast channels, chain links, battery terminals and hydraulic rams all suffer, and a truck that would run for years untroubled inland will need attention sooner here.
None of that is a reason to buy differently, but it is a reason to service to a schedule, before something fails, and to have somebody look at a machine who knows what coastal wear looks like before it becomes a repair.
Cover when it matters
Ports, growers and the motorway estates
Three kinds of work sit close together here. Port and marine handling wants heavy capacity and long forks. The growers and packhouses to the east want electric trucks and pallet equipment that suit clean, chilled space. The estates along the M27 want the standard warehouse fleet, well maintained.
Because it is all covered from one site, a business with more than one of those has one number to ring.
