Gladepoint on Gleaming Wood Drive is the former home of W. R. Nicholls & Sons Ltd, known across the region for years as the forklift hire specialist of the South. Acclaim and Nicholls merged, and this building carried on as the Southern Service Centre with the same people and the same way of working.
The centre offers the full Acclaim range from here: hire, sales, servicing, repairs and training across the whole equipment line. The Nicholls inheritance shows in the strength of the short-term hire fleet and in the family-run instinct for close personal attention, both of which were kept.
The centre is well placed for Kent, Surrey, Sussex and south east London, with the M2 and M20 both within reach and the Medway towns on the doorstep.

Our hire fleet in Kent and Surrey covers all three, from manufacturers including STILL and Hyundai, alongside the warehouse equipment that goes with them. Choosing between them is mostly about where the machine will work: indoors on a finished floor, outside on a yard, or both in the same shift.
