This course is designed for candidates who will be using a PPT or Ride-On PPT. This course will show the candidates the basics and manoeuvrability of these trucks. as well as the basics of picking up loads and how to move about their workplace safely.

Our in house courses can be located at our site in Purfleet but are best at your site for the most accurate training on what they will be using day-to-day.In house courses are designed to have the candidates only certificated on your site meaning they are trained on what they will be using and cannot use this license at any other site.
Our national courses can be held at any site as this course is designed to have the candidate specially trained in all scenarios while using a power pallet truck so that they are available to go to any site and use this truck. This course is ideal for workers who may have to use a power pallet trucks at several different sites.
Refresher courses are primarily for candidates who already have a certificate to prove they have done their novice course. These courses are designed to be done after 3 years in order to recap anything the candidates may have forgot and to remove any bad habits they may have picked up which may be likely to cause an accident.

Approach, pick up, transport and deposit a laden pallet in a marked area
Moving off and stopping in an unrestricted area with an unladen truck
Placing a laden pallet close to a vertical face at ground level
Simple manoeuvring exercises in an unrestricted area with an unladen truck
Negotiate 90° turns with unladen and laden truck in a narrow aisle
Steering round obstacles, forks trailing and forks leading
Stack and destack in industrial racking system
Manoeuvring exercises, negotiate Fig 8 in a restricted area
Manoeuvring on and off ramps and inclines
Negotiating a chicane with a unladen and laden truck, forwards and reverse
Vehicle loading and unloading from a loading dock (if possible)
Traction battery care and maintenance
Associated knowledge examination
Hydraulic system and use of controls
Pre-use inspection practical test
Practical Test of basic operating skills
