International Women’s Day at Acclaim Handling

To celebrate International Women’s Day, we want to highlight the amazing ladies that make Acclaim Handling tick!

Today’s focus is on Stephanie Hind, team leader of our sales administration and operations! Lexi, our Marketing Executive, sat down with Steph to get some insight into how she became one of the leading figures at Acclaim Handling!

Lexi: What inspired you to pursue a career in the materials-handling industry?

Steph: I believe the forklift industry offers a wide range of career paths and lots of room for growth, from operating the equipment to roles in management, sales, training, and logistics.

Lexi: What has been your proudest career achievement so far?

Steph: My proudest achievement has been my own personal growth in the industry. When I first started in materials handling, I was unsure of my abilities, but over time, I gained the confidence to take on challenging projects and roles. The confidence I now have in my skills and the knowledge that I’m making a meaningful contribution to my team and the company has been incredibly rewarding

Lexi: What advice would you give to other women looking to enter this field?

Steph: Women sometimes need to be more proactive in advocating for themselves. Be vocal about your career goals and ambitions. Seek opportunities to take on projects that challenge you and demonstrate your skills. If you’re interested in a leadership role, let it be known, and seek out mentorship to help you get there. 👏
