Acclaim acquires Short Term Forklift Hire Specialist W.R. Nicholls & Sons Ltd

Acclaim has completed its second acquisition within six months with the takeover of W.R. Nicholls & Sons Ltd. Based in Rochester, Kent they have specialised in providing short term hire of forklift trucks for over 40 years and the current fleet is one of the newest across the UK.

The benefit of Short Term Rental to our customers means that you are not obliged to commit to any long term contracts, indeed you can hire a machine for as short as one day. Machines available range from 2 to 10 tonne capacity in electric, diesel and LP Gas Powered.

Brian Nicholl, former Co-Owner of W.R. Nicholls & Sons commented: “We were only ever prepared to sell to a company that shared the same vision that we’ve had for the last 40 years and Acclaim Handling was the obvious choice. We are very happy that the company we built is to be in such good hands”.

Acclaim’s Chief Executive David Woods expressed his thoughts; “This acquisition consolidates Acclaim’s commitment to provide quality service to its local customers with a Regional Service Centre South of the River Thames. W.R. Nicholls & Sons has a first class reputation for providing excellent service and we are delighted to welcome them into the Acclaim family”.
