Acclaim Handling Limited, established in 1982, specialise in the hire, supply and maintenance of forklift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment, predominantly in the South of England. We have a reputation for value for money and service second to none, supported locally from our regional service centres.


Summary of Job:

  • To assist in the daily administration of Regional service department.
  • General administrative duties, including filing, emailing, timesheets, answering phones, Logging breakdowns, creating quotes, organising third party contractors.
  • Covering Controller duties as and when required.
  • Support the Service Manager as and when required.


Position Responsibilities:

General Admin duties as required

  • Work alongside and assist Service Controllers of Service region.
  • Covering controllers duties during annual leave.
  • Point of contact for customers and suppliers, on phone or on email, receiving and communicating information as required, ensuring high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Point of contact for customers, suppliers visiting the depot e.g. accepting deliveries.
  • Point of contact for customers, suppliers visiting the depot e.g. accepting deliveries.
  • Parts processing, ordering & booking parts onto Protean system .
  • Responsible for logging jobs onto the protean system, as required, entering all job relevant information.
  • Responsible for the administration of workshop related jobs, Prep for hire/sale & PDI.
  • The raising of new quotes and chasing of aged quotes not authorised.
  • Communicating with other internal departments where necessary.
  • Complying with company Health & Safety.
  • Organising through third parties and booking repair and testing of equipment as required by depots to comply with H & S requirements.
  • Ordering and booking in of Engineers consumable items.
  • General administrative duties, including but not limited to, filing, photocopying, answering telephones, etc.


Support the Service Manager as required

  • Assist the service manager as required to aid in the smooth running of the service department.
  • Any other reasonable duties related to this role.
