Mechanically axle driven, our forklift gritters and salt spreaders require no hydraulic or electrical connection, have no belts or chains, therefore offering a forklift gritter / salt spreader that is simple to use with minimal maintenance costs.

Our forklift gritters and salt spreaders are built to the highest quality and are competitively priced. All salt spreaders come ‘CE’ marked, are fully tested and come supplied with relevant Health & Safety documentation. Dependent on your application, Acclaim Handling offers two options and at least one of these will be suitable for requirements. The first is the the forklift mini towable gritter has a massive 170 litre capacity with a maximum spread width of 8000mm. You will find the forklift gritter is worth its weight in gold when used on larger square footage applications. It has been designed for towing behind forklift trucks and other vehicles with a tow bar facility. This forklift gritter comes with the following features as standard:

• Flow of grit regulated to ensure economical usage
• Agitator mounted in the base of hopper to minimise blockages
• Majority of parts either galvanized or stainless steel to prevent corrosion.
• Painted bright orange – non-corrosive
• Large pneumatic tyres (16 x 6.5 inches)

The second alternative is our salt spreader which has been designed for the operator to walk behind the unit. Suitable for smaller applications or where space can be especially tight, the Salt spreader is great value and comes with a substantial 43 litre capacity. The polyurethane hopper bucket is supported by a strong steel frame mounted on large 500mm pneumatic wheels to give this unit a smooth ride over rough and uneven terrain. A Large hopper basket means you have to fill it up less, therefore, less downtime!
