Flexi and Narrow Aisle Articulated Forklifts
Articulated trucks hire from £150 per week, ex VAT.
Who makes Flexi
Flexi trucks are built by Narrow Aisle Ltd at Great Western Way, Great Bridge, Tipton, West Midlands. Narrow Aisle has been a pioneer of very narrow aisle (VNA) handling since 1976.
The first Flexi articulated fork truck was produced in 1990. Narrow Aisle describes itself as "the last sole mass manufacturer of articulated trucks in the UK", and says over 13,500 units have been supplied since the model's original release, in over 70 countries. (Source: flexi.co.uk/about-us, read 2 August 2026.)
Narrow Aisle quotes "up to 230° digital power steering", says a Flexi can "stack aisles down to 1.6 metres", and that it "eliminate[s] dead aisle space and increases usable storage space by up to 50%". (Source: flexi.co.uk, read 2 August 2026.) Those are the manufacturer's figures for its own current machines. Your achievable aisle depends on pallet type, load overhang and the clearance standard your racking is set out to.
The current Flexi range
Narrow Aisle publishes six models. Maximum capacity, maximum lift height and aisle width at a 600 mm load centre, as stated by the manufacturer:
| Model | Max capacity | Max lift height | Aisle width (600 mm load centre) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flexi 15VN | 1,300 kg | 7,620 mm | 1,800 mm |
| Flexi 17N | 1,500 kg | 8,220 mm | 2,000 mm |
| Flexi 20S | 2,000 kg | 9,500 mm | 2,100 mm |
| Flexi 22S+ | 2,000 kg | 10,560 mm | 2,200 mm |
| Flexi 25W | 2,500 kg | 12,720 mm | 2,300 mm |
| Flexi 25WHL | 2,500 kg | 15,000 mm | 2,400 mm |

Note the aisle figures rise with capacity and lift height. If you are specifying to a drawing, work from the model you will actually run, not from the headline minimum.
What Acclaim holds
Our stock system records these machines under two headings. Between them we currently hold 13 Flexi and Narrow Aisle machines:
Narrow Aisle: 9 machines, 1,500 kg to 2,000 kg
- Flexi G4
- Flexi AC 1000
- Flexi Euro
- Flexi 17N+
Flexi: 4 machines, 2,000 kg to 2,500 kg
- Flexi AC
- Flexi AC Hiload
- Flexi AC Himax
- Flexi AC VNA
The live list, with lift heights and prices, is on the articulated forklifts page.
Older model names on the used market
The names on used Flexi trucks do not match the current manufacturer range. Machines badged G4, AC, Hiload, Himax, VNA, Euro and 1000 are earlier generations.
Narrow Aisle's current range is numbered by capacity: 15VN, 17N, 20S, 22S+, 25W, 25WHL (flexi.co.uk/flexi-trucks). A spec sheet for a current model will not always describe a used truck with a similar-sounding name, so it is worth asking us for the data plate and the actual measured aisle the machine will work in.
We will get those over to you.
Where Acclaim stands with Flexi
We are not a Flexi or Narrow Aisle dealer and we do not claim to be. Our exclusive dealerships are STILL, Hyundai and Lonking.
What we do with Flexi is supply the machines, hire them, service them, examine them and stock the parts. Our parts department supplies parts for a range of makes including Flexi Narrow Aisle, Aislemaster and Combilift, alongside genuine STILL and Hyundai parts.
Hiring a Flexi
We hire all machine types, articulated trucks included.
There is no minimum hire period. A machine can go out for a day. The minimum charge is one week at the weekly rate. All prices ex VAT.
If a hired truck does not work, you get your money back on it. We will send an engineer to fix the machine, and we will put a prop-up machine in if we judge it necessary. That applies to all equipment on hire, not just forklifts.
Full hire terms are on the forklift hire page.
Buying a used Flexi
The vast majority of the used machines we sell came off our own hire fleet, so they are trucks we have maintained ourselves and have the history for. Every machine is inspected thoroughly to our standard before it is released to a customer. We also offer refurbishing.
Every used machine leaves with a current thorough examination certificate as standard.

Finance
Finance is available on both new and used machines through a third-party funder: lease purchase, contract hire, operating lease, or outright purchase. Tell us how you want it structured and we will price it.
Service, parts and thorough examination
We offer comprehensive maintenance contracts and planned maintenance. We also carry out thorough examinations on machines we did not supply, and on lifting accessories: slings, chains, forks and attachments.
Acclaim is CFTS accredited, and that accreditation is current. It means one thorough examination is designed to satisfy the LOLER thorough-examination requirement and the PUWER inspection requirement in a single visit, producing one report, rather than two visits and two certificates.
Thorough examinations from £135 ex VAT. Equipment service from £90 ex VAT.
There is a callout number if you need an engineer out straight away. That will carry a callout charge and travel.
We also hold ISO 9001, ISO 45001, UKMHA, SafeContractor, RTITB, JOSCAR and Cyber Essentials. See health, safety and compliance.
If you run a mixed fleet across sites, fleet management puts the service records, examination dates and costs in one place.
Operator training
We are RTITB accredited and we have nine in-house instructors. Operator training is £360 ex VAT. Details on forklift training.
Flexi, Aisle Master or a reach truck
Three ways to get a pallet out of a narrow aisle. They are not interchangeable.
Flexi (Narrow Aisle Ltd, Tipton). Articulated. Manufacturer states aisles down to 1.6 m and lift heights to 15,000 mm on the 25WHL (flexi.co.uk/flexi-trucks). Our stock runs 1,500–2,500 kg.
Aisle Master (built by Combilift, Co. Monaghan, Ireland). Also articulated. We hold 8 machines, 1,500–2,000 kg: 15SE, 15SHE, 20SE and 20WHE. We can order Aisle Master and Combilift machines new from the factory. Both makes are listed together on the articulated forklifts page.
Reach truck. Mast moves, chassis stays. Different trade-offs on stability, outdoor use and load handling. See reach trucks and order pickers and VNA equipment.
The honest answer is that this is decided by measuring your aisles and looking at your racking, not by reading a page. We will come and do that.
Nationwide, from eight depots
South East (head office, Rainham), East Anglia, East (Pinchbeck, Spalding, Lincolnshire), Midlands, West, Southern, Liverpool/North and South Coast.
We deliver nationwide; the transport fee depends on where you are. We also move machines for third parties: all machine types, not only forklifts.
Talk to us
Call 01708 861 414 or use the enquiry form. Tell us the aisle width, the racking height, the heaviest pallet and whether the truck goes outside. That is enough for us to tell you whether a Flexi is the right answer, and which one.
