Multidirectional
Combilift's multidirectional trucks use synchronised wheel movements to travel forward, backward and sideways without turning the load. When a multidirectional or sideloader is the right machine
If your loads are longer than a standard pallet (timber, steel, pipe, board, extrusion, window frames), a counterbalance truck has to turn the load to move it down an aisle. That is what sets your aisle width, and aisle width is what sets how much you can store in the building.
A multidirectional truck carries a long load sideways down the aisle. A sideloader does the same from a bed alongside the mast. Either way the load never has to swing. Our stock of side loaders and multi-directional forklifts is listed by capacity and fuel type.
Where the stock is palletised rather than long, the articulated route is usually the better fit. Aisle Master is Combilift's articulated very-narrow-aisle truck. Acclaim stocks Aisle Master alongside Flexi and Narrow Aisle. See articulated forklifts.
Combilift hire
We hire all machine types, Combilift included.
- No minimum hire period. A machine can go out for a day.
- Minimum charge is one week, at the weekly rate.
- If a hired truck does not work, you get your money back on it. We will send an engineer out to fix the machine, and a prop-up machine if we deem it necessary.
- All rates are ex VAT.
Full terms and current rates are on the forklift hire page.
Buying used
The vast majority of our used machines are ex-own-hire-fleet, trucks we bought, ran and maintained ourselves, so we know their history rather than guessing at it.
Every machine is inspected thoroughly to meet our standards before it is signed off to a customer, and it leaves with a current thorough examination certificate as standard. We also offer refurbishment if you want the machine brought back further than a straight inspection.
Acclaim is the biggest independent supplier of used forklift trucks and MHE in the UK, and the longest-serving independent distributor. See used equipment.
Finance
On new and on used machines we offer:
- Outright purchase
- Lease purchase
- Contract hire
- Operating lease
Finance is arranged through a third-party funder.
Service, parts and thorough examination
We service Combilift machines and we stock Combilift parts. See forklift parts.
Maintenance contracts come in two forms: comprehensive, and planned maintenance.
Acclaim holds current CFTS accreditation for the thorough examination of lift trucks: one examination covering LOLER and PUWER together, and one report, rather than two visits and two certificates. We examine lift trucks we did not supply.
There is a callout number if you need an engineer out. Callout and travel are charged on top.
