What Genie makes
Genie is a Terex Corporation brand. Its aerial lift range covers telescopic boom lifts, articulated boom lifts, trailer-mounted boom lifts, slab scissor lifts, rough terrain scissor lifts and vertical mast lifts, plus telehandlers and material lifts on the material handling side (source: genielift.com/en/aerial-lift).
The three families we hold are scissor lifts, telescopic booms and vertical mast lifts.
Genie GS scissor lifts
Genie describes its GS slab scissor lifts as "exceptionally mobile, letting operators easily maneuver around tight indoor and outdoor worksites with firm, level surfaces" (source: genielift.com/en/aerial-lift/slab-scissor-lifts). Genie lists slab and rough terrain scissors as separate families on the same page.
Models that appear on our current scissor lift listings include the GS-1330m E-Drive and GS-1930 E-Drive at 227 kg, the GS-3246 E-Drive at 318 kg, the GS-4069 BE and GS-4069 DC at 363 kg, the GS-2646 E-Drive and GS-3369 series at 454 kg, and the GS-2669 BE, DC and RT at 680 kg. Genie S-series boom lifts
Genie describes telescopic boom lifts as having "one or more boom sections that extend outward in a straight line", which lets them "reach higher than other types of aerial lifts and have a greater horizontal outreach". Genie calls them "perfect for work in areas with limited access" (source: genielift.com/en/aerial-lift/telescopic-boom-lifts). Genie's XC designation stands for Xtra Capacity, "designed to work in more applications that require a higher lift capacity" (source: genielift.com/en/aerial-lift).

Genie AWP vertical mast lifts
We hold two Genie AWP vertical mast lifts, both electric: the AWP-20S and the AWP-40S. Both are on our mast lift page.
Genie access platform hire
We hire all machine types, Genie included. There is no minimum hire period. A machine can go out for a day. The minimum charge is one week at the weekly rate.
Hire rates on our Genie listings start at £50 per week ex VAT for a vertical mast lift. Boom lifts start at £150 per week ex VAT.
If a hired machine does not work, you get your money back on it. We will send an engineer to fix it, and we will supply a prop-up machine if we judge that it is needed. That applies to all equipment on hire, not just forklifts.
Buying a Genie machine
Finance is available: lease purchase, contract hire, operating lease, or outright purchase, through a third-party funder.
We deliver nationwide. The transport fee depends on where you are.
Thorough examination on MEWPs
A MEWP is lifting equipment for lifting persons.
Regulation 9(3) of the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 applies to "lifting equipment which is exposed to conditions causing deterioration which is liable to result in dangerous situations".
Where it applies, such equipment must be thoroughly examined "in the case of lifting equipment for lifting persons or an accessory for lifting, at least every 6 months", regulation 9(3)(a)(i).
Regulation 9(3)(a)(iii) gives a co-equal alternative: examination "in either case, in accordance with an examination scheme".
A further examination is required under regulation 9(3)(a)(iv) "each time that exceptional circumstances which are liable to jeopardise the safety of the lifting equipment have occurred".

We carry out thorough examinations on access equipment and MEWPs, not only forklifts. We examine machines we did not supply. We also examine lifting accessories: slings, chains, forks and attachments.
Thorough examinations start from £135 ex VAT. Equipment servicing starts from £90 ex VAT. We also run a callout number: an engineer can come out straight away if it is necessary, though that will carry a callout charge and travel.
Servicing
We service Genie machines. Our engineers cover the UK from eight depots: South East (head office, Rainham), East Anglia, East (Pinchbeck, Spalding), Midlands, West, Southern, Liverpool/North and South Coast.
Operator training for scissor lifts and booms
We deliver MEWP, cherry picker and scissor lift operator training, and harness and fall-arrest training. It is delivered by our own instructors, nine of them in house, not subcontracted out as standard. Our training accreditation body is RTITB.
MEWP – Scissor Lift Training and Cherry Picker Training are both listed on our equipment training page from £360 + VAT per day.
Transport
We move machines for third parties as well as our own. All machine types, including access equipment. If you have bought a Genie elsewhere and need it moved, we will quote for that.
