The L-9A at a glance
The L-9A is Hyundai’s LPG counterbalance range for 2,500 to 3,500 kg, meeting European Stage V emission levels. A 2.4 litre four-cylinder engine drives through a powershift transmission to a drive axle with wet disc brakes, and the fully electronic LPG system runs with a catalytic converter and two oxygen sensors. It suits loading on ramps, fast lifting and repetitive work in warehouses and industrial sites.

The models
- 25L-9A: 2,500 kg at a 500 mm load centre, turning in 2,352 mm.
- 30L-9A and 33L-9A: 3,000 and 3,300 kg, turning in 2,413 and 2,463 mm.
- 35LN-9A: 3,500 kg, turning in 2,490 mm.
All four run on pneumatic tyres, lift 3,305 mm on the standard mast and travel at up to 18.6 km/h unladen.

Safety built in
The parking brake applies itself when the power is off, hill start assist stops the truck rolling back on a ramp, and a stability system warns the driver when the truck leans too far. The operator presence system and a passcode start keep it in the right hands, and a 5.6-inch colour display shows the load weight and can cap the top speed.
Two generations
Earlier L-9A trucks carried US Tier 4 engine certification. The later ones are built to European Stage V, and the 35LN-9A joined the range. Check the engine plate if emissions matter on your site.
Buying a used L-9A
Fault codes show on the display without a separate diagnostic tool, and a reminder appears 30 hours ahead of each scheduled service, so the display tells you a lot about how it has been kept. Test the low-gas warning and the emergency LPG cut-off switch. Our engineers inspect every used L-9A before sale.
Supply, hire and training
As Hyundai’s exclusive dealer and distributor, we order each new L-9A to your mast and attachment spec. LPG forklifts are available on hire and lease; ask us which models are available now. We run counterbalance forklift training at our centres and on customers’ sites.
