The D-9V at a glance
The D-9V family is Hyundai’s Stage V diesel counterbalance range, the generation after the D-9. Every model cleans its exhaust with an oxidation catalyst and a particulate filter that regenerates automatically, and drives through an automatic powershift transmission. It runs from 2,500 kg warehouse and yard trucks to 8,000 kg heavy lifters.

Three sizes
- 25D-9V, 30D-9V and 35DN-9V: 2,500, 3,000 and 3,500 kg at a 500 mm load centre, with a 2.2 litre Hyundai engine, travelling at up to 18.8 km/h and turning in 2,352 to 2,480 mm.
- 35D-9VB to 50DN-9VB: 3,500 to 4,990 kg at 600 mm, with a 2.9 litre Hyundai engine and a two-speed automatic forward gearbox, travelling at up to 29.2 km/h. The 9VC versions carry 4,000 to 4,990 kg at 500 mm.
- 70D-9V and 80D-9V: 7,000 and 8,000 kg at 600 mm, with a ZF full-automatic transmission, masts to 7,330 and 7,650 mm, and SCR as well as the particulate filter.

Living with the particulate filter
Regeneration runs automatically while the truck works, and a parked regeneration can be started by hand at any time. A switch holds off regeneration in areas with a fire risk. On the 70D-9V and 80D-9V, the fuel filter interval is 1,000 hours, long-life hydraulic oil runs to 5,000 hours between changes, and the cab tilts up to 52 degrees for service access.
Checking a used D-9V
Engine and transmission fault codes can be read on the display, and the truck warns from 30 hours before a service is due. Check the regeneration history and the service hour meter, and look at the tyres, chains and hoses. Our engineers inspect every used D-9V before sale.
Supply, hire and training
We supply the D-9V family new as Hyundai’s exclusive dealer and distributor, with the mast, tyres and attachments your work needs. Diesel forklifts are available on hire and lease; ask us which models are available now. We run counterbalance forklift training at our centres and on customers’ sites.
