Training on your own site in Surrey means your operators are assessed on your own trucks, in your own racking and your own yard, which is exactly where the certificate needs to count.

Scheduled courses run at our three RTITB accredited centres through the year, and each centre's accreditation certificate is published on the course pages. Our Purfleet training centre also runs courses, if its dates suit you better.

Training is £360 per training day, ex VAT. The length depends on the truck and on how many people are being trained, and we confirm both when you book. Every course ends in full, nationally recognised certification.

Do operators in Surrey need a forklift licence?
If you have been asked to get a forklift licence for a job in Surrey, this is what you need. UK law does not issue a forklift licence. It puts the duty on the employer: operators must be trained, assessed and authorised, and an accredited training certificate is the evidence that they were. Where is your nearest training centre to Surrey?
Our South Coast Centre at Cosham, Portsmouth (PO6 3TJ). Courses also run at our Head Office South East in Purfleet. All three of our centres are RTITB accredited.
What does forklift training cost?
Training is £360 per training day, ex VAT. A novice course runs 3 to 5 days and a refresher 1 to 2, depending on the truck and how many people are being trained.
Do I need a forklift licence to work in Surrey?
There is no forklift licence in UK law. Employers must make sure operators are trained, assessed and authorised, and a certificate from an accredited course is how that is evidenced.
Is the training accredited?
Yes: RTITB accredited, recognised by the HSE, HSA and HSENI, and finishing in certification that is recognised across the UK.
Do you train on site in Surrey?
Yes. Our instructors come to your premises in Surrey and train your operators on your own trucks. You need the appropriate equipment, a designated training area with racking and bulk stacking, and a suitable area for the theory part of the course.
