Our instructor comes to you
Training on your own site in Cheshire means your operators are assessed on your own trucks, in your own racking and your own yard, which is exactly where the certificate needs to count.
You will need three things in place: the appropriate equipment, a designated training area with racking and bulk stacking, and somewhere suitable for the theory part of the course. If you are not sure your site qualifies, we will talk it through.

Scheduled courses run at our three RTITB accredited centres through the year, and each centre's accreditation certificate is published on the course pages. Our Cosham training centre also runs courses, if its dates suit you better.

The day rate is £360, ex VAT. A course for one experienced operator can be done in a day; a group of novices takes longer, and we give you the length and the total up front. Every course ends in nationally recognised certification.

Do operators in Cheshire need a forklift licence?
"Forklift licence" is how most people in Cheshire search for this, and it is worth knowing what the law actually asks for. UK law does not issue a forklift licence. It puts the duty on the employer: operators must be trained, assessed and authorised, and an accredited training certificate is the evidence that they were. How much does forklift training cost in Cheshire?
Training is £360 per training day, ex VAT. A novice course runs 3 to 5 days and a refresher 1 to 2, depending on the truck and how many people are being trained.
Do I need a forklift licence to work in Cheshire?
There is no forklift licence in UK law. Employers must make sure operators are trained, assessed and authorised, and a certificate from an accredited course is how that is evidenced.
Is the training accredited?
It is. We are RTITB accredited, the courses are recognised by the HSE, HSA and HSENI, and every candidate who passes receives nationally recognised certification.
