Forklift servicing in Middlesborough: common questions
Who comes out to Middlesborough?
An engineer from our Liverpool Service Centre at Prescot, Merseyside (L34 9HN). They are field based and work from a stocked van, so the great majority of servicing, examinations and repairs are finished on your own floor in one visit.
Can we take a machine short term instead of buying?
Yes. Hire starts at £85 and runs from a single day up to long-term contract hire, with the minimum charge one week at the weekly rate. Attachments, access equipment and industrial cleaning machinery hire on the same agreement.
Are parts carried on the van?
The common wear items are: filters, brake parts, hydraulic seals, forks, tyres, bulbs and belts. Anything less common is ordered against your machine's serial number and fitted on a return visit.
What hours do your engineers work?
Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is also a 24/7 breakdown callout number for a machine that stops outside those hours. A callout carries a callout charge and travel on top of the work itself.
Who is responsible for the LOLER examination, us or you?
The duty sits with whoever has control of the equipment at work, so on your own machines it is yours. What we do is carry it out, issue the report and keep the schedule, which is the part that usually gets missed.
