Forklift servicing in Peterlee: common questions

Who comes out to Peterlee?

An engineer from our Liverpool Service Centre at Prescot, Merseyside (L34 9HN). They are field based and work from a stocked van, so the great majority of servicing, examinations and repairs are finished on your own floor in one visit.

What does it cost to hire a forklift here?

Yes. Hire starts at £85 and runs from a single day up to long-term contract hire, with the minimum charge one week at the weekly rate. Delivery is arranged from Prescot on our own transport.

Do you cover the whole of North East?

Yes. North East is worked from our Liverpool Service Centre, and Acclaim services and examines equipment the length and breadth of the UK from eight regional centres, so a business with sites in more than one region deals with one supplier.

Who is responsible for the LOLER examination, us or you?

The duty sits with whoever has control of the equipment at work, so on your own machines it is yours. What we do is carry it out, issue the report and keep the schedule, which is the part that usually gets missed.

What hours do your engineers work?

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. There is also a 24/7 breakdown callout number for a machine that stops outside those hours. A callout carries a callout charge and travel on top of the work itself.
