When electric is the right choice
Indoors, on finished floors, around people

An electric forklift produces no exhaust, which makes it the usual answer for warehouses, distribution centres and other indoor or emissions-sensitive sites. It is also much quieter than a diesel or gas machine, so it suits noise-sensitive areas and occupied buildings.
They handle stacking and pallet work, loading and unloading, and container work. Every one is serviced and checked before it goes out on hire.
- Three wheel and four wheel models.
- Capacities from 1,000 kg to 5,000 kg.
- Attachments such as clamps, rotators and jibs.

Electric forklift hire prices
What an electric forklift costs to hire
The weekly rate each type of electric forklift starts at, ex VAT. Daily, weekly and monthly rates are available, with a minimum charge of one week at the weekly rate. Charging costs are yours during the hire, as fuel is on a diesel or LPG machine.
| Machine type | Per week from | Power | Capacity | Mast height |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2.5 tonne electric counterbalance | From £100 | Electric | 2,500 kg | 3,300 mm |
| 5 tonne electric counterbalance | From £150 | Electric | 4,990 kg | 5,962 mm |
Transport is charged separately and depends on the distance from the nearest of our eight depots.
What moves the price
Capacity and mast
A 2.5 tonne counterbalance is not priced like a 5 tonne machine or a triplex mast.
Power source
Electric machines need charging arrangements; diesel and LPG do not.
Length of hire
The weekly rate falls as the period extends, and monthly is cheaper again.
Delivery distance
Transport is charged separately, by the distance from the nearest of our depots.
Attachments
Clamps, rotators, jibs and any non-standard specification.
Notice
Planned hire is cheaper than a machine needed tomorrow.
