The BH-9 at a glance
The BH-9 is Hyundai’s 80-volt four-wheel electric counterbalance for 2,500 to 3,500 kg, and an earlier 2,200 kg model, the 22BH-9. Two AC drive motors of 8 kW each and a 19.7 kW lift motor drive it at 18 km/h laden and 19 km/h empty. It works in logistics, food and drink, manufacturing, timber and automotive plants.

The models
- 25BH-9, 30BH-9 and 35BH-9: rated 2,500, 3,000 and 3,500 kg (500 mm load centre), turning in 1,999, 2,127 and 2,233 mm.
- 22BH-9: the earlier 2,200 kg model, turning in 1,895 mm.
The standard mast lifts 3,305 mm, and the tallest masts go beyond 7 metres. The trucks run on superelastic tyres.

Two generations
The later BH-9 has a 5-inch colour display, uses less energy, lifts faster and runs its hydraulics more quietly, and it can take a lithium-ion battery. Earlier trucks have a 3.5-inch display and halogen headlights. Both are 80-volt, dual-drive trucks with side battery removal, and factory telematics can be fitted to the later model.
Buying a used BH-9
The display shows the hour meter, and a sensor on the brake oil reservoir warns of a low level, so check both first. Slide the battery out to look at the cells and connectors, and check the mast chains and forks. Our engineers inspect every used BH-9 before it goes on sale.
Supply, hire and training
As Hyundai’s exclusive dealer and distributor we supply the BH-9 new with lead-acid or lithium-ion and the mast your racking needs. 80-volt electric forklifts are available on hire and lease; ask us which models are available now. We run counterbalance forklift training at our centres and on customers’ sites.
