Forklift hire for Walsall, from our Rugby centre
Counterbalance forklifts on electric, LPG or diesel, reach trucks, articulated trucks, powered pallet trucks and stackers are all on forklift truck hire to Walsall sites from £85 a week, with access platforms and cleaning machines alongside. The Midlands Service Centre answers on 01788 560 534, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm, and outside those hours the emergency breakdown callout line runs 24/7. Give the team the load, the lift height and the date you need the truck, and the quote names the type of machine.
From Paynes Lane the run to Walsall is about 40 miles: onto the M6 at junction 1, round Birmingham to junction 7 at Great Barr, then into the town on the A34. Every hire travels on our own transport, and the day it comes back is fixed when you book.
Rugby reaches most of the Midlands inside an hour, and Walsall falls well within that. The engineers who cover the Black Country are based at the centre, so the people who deliver a Walsall hire are the people who keep it running.
Forklifts for Walsall's foundries, yards and sheds
Walsall puts long-established metalworking next to newer distribution: engineering, metal finishing and lock making around Willenhall and Darlaston, and modern sheds close to the M6. Diesel counterbalance trucks on pneumatic tyres suit stockholders' yards and steel stored outdoors, and LPG trucks move work from the yard into the workshop in one shift. Indoor assembly and packing on a sealed floor is the place for electric counterbalance trucks.
The distribution buildings near junctions 9 and 10 stack to height in racked aisles, which is reach truck work, and the Rugby team can walk a site with you to see whether a Flexi articulated truck would let more racking in. A Flexi works an aisle around half the width a conventional counterbalance needs. Smaller units off the Black Country Route tend to need only powered pallet trucks and pallet stackers for unloading and stores work.
Heavy castings or long steel sections may call for heavy-duty forklifts or for fork extensions, and access platforms and industrial cleaning machines can be added to the order. Tell us the heaviest load and its length, how high it goes and the surface underfoot, and we will name the machine type that suits.
Walsall's industrial areas, from Darlaston to Aldridge
Darlaston and Wednesbury, either side of junctions 9 and 10 of the M6, hold a close spread of engineering, metal finishing and storage. Willenhall, just to the west, carries on a long tradition of lock and hardware manufacture, and Phoenix 10 at James Bridge, by junction 10, has opened up land for new industrial and distribution units.
North of the centre, Leamore and Bloxwich run along the A34 towards Cannock, while Aldridge's industrial estates and Brownhills lie out towards the A452 and the M6 Toll. Units there are mostly manufacturing and trade, with yards that suit diesel and gas trucks.
Closer in, the trading estates around Pleck and the ring road are a few minutes from the motorway. Across the Black Country, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich and Dudley are covered by the same Rugby team on the same number.
Keeping a Walsall hire running
Hire machines in Walsall are kept up by the field engineers who handle forklift servicing and repairs in Walsall, working from stocked vans so that most jobs finish on site in one visit. We book the LOLER thorough examination too: at least every twelve months for a truck lifting loads, and every six where it lifts people. The hire fleet is CFTS accredited.
Foundry dust and metal swarf are hard on tyres, filters and seals, and the vans carry those wear parts along with brake parts, forks, bulbs and belts. Anything less common is ordered against the machine's serial number and fitted on a return visit, and traction batteries and chargers come from the parts store at Rugby.
If your operators would benefit from a course, we run operator training at our centres and on customers' sites: novice, refresher and conversion, set out on our forklift training pages. On your own premises, people learn on the trucks they drive every day.
Hire terms and prices
Hire runs from a single day through to long-term contract hire, from £85 a week. The rate moves with the machine, its lifting capacity and lift height, any attachments, and how long you keep it: longer hires cost less per week. Short-term hire covers a peak, a project or a truck off the road, and emergency hire is there for the day something has gone wrong.
Regular customers can put the machine, its servicing and its statutory inspections together as a contract, in one monthly payment with cover if the truck is off the road. Fleet management extends that across several sites.
If hire stops making sense, we sell new and used machines and take part exchange on your old truck, working or not. All prices are ex VAT.
A Walsall manufacturer taking on a large order, or waiting on a repair to a truck of its own, can add a machine for weeks rather than a year. Give us the dates and the truck arrives and leaves on them.
A Walsall firm can have the truck without a capital outlay, with servicing and breakdown repairs handled by our engineers and the option to add or return machines as work moves, as set out in our forklift hire versus purchase guide.
Your Midlands service centre
Paynes Lane Industrial Estate, on the eastern side of Rugby a short run from junction 1 of the M6, is home to one of Acclaim's eight regional service centres. Acclaim has supplied and serviced handling equipment since 1982 and has stayed independent, so the truck we suggest for a Walsall job is chosen for the work. We are an exclusive dealer for STILL, Hyundai and Lonking, and we also supply Flexi articulated trucks, Genie access equipment and Kärcher cleaning machinery.
The centre also carries hand pallet trucks, sack barrows, trolleys and powered stair climbers, which are easier to buy from the people who already look after your forklifts. A Walsall business can hire for a peak, buy a new or used truck and have both serviced by the same engineers.
