How Acclaim Handling Assessed and Transformed Clearwater Hampers’ Warehouse Fleet

Clearwater Hampers struggled to find the right business who would help review their fleet and provide an analysis of what they needed. Acclaim Handling identified outdated equipment was holding back their productivity through various assessments. As a result, lease hired two reach trucks and sold two pallet trucks to Clearwater Hampers. This made their fleet much more reliable and effective for their daily warehouse operations.

Clearwater Hampers provides luxury food and drink hampers, and corporate gifting. They sell direct to the consumer, with 45 years of gifting experience reaching back to 1979. One of Clearwater Hampers core values are sustainability; they have even achieved certified carbon neutral status. In 2025 they received two awards at the SME News UK Enterprise.

Acclaim Handling was able to advise was equipment needed replacing which was impacting safety and productivity.

After David Wiltshire provided an analysis, it highlighted that their reach trucks needed to be replaced. We provided a hire agreement for X2 FMX14 reach trucks over a five-year period, they also went on to purchase EXH SF20 Powered Pallet Trucks x2. They were happy with the quality of equipment Acclaim Handling provided and was commercially viable for them to outright purchase. We also provided removeable stop blocks for the pallet trucks; this enables the forks to be long and short, providing greater flexibility.

David Wiltshire identified Clearwater Hampers’ concerns that their equipment was outdated, which was affecting their productivity and safety on site. It was important to provide more new and reliable equipment which wouldn’t result in high maintenance costs. Adding the reach and pallet trucks to their fleet helped them significantly in their daily warehouse operations, it improved their efficiency and flexibility. The additional attachment also helped the business to utilise the warehouse space, contributing to the success of their daily operations.
