Forklift servicing in Cumbria: common questions
Who comes out to Cumbria?
An engineer from our Liverpool Service Centre at Prescot, Merseyside (L34 9HN). They are field based and work from a stocked van, so the great majority of servicing, examinations and repairs are finished on your own floor in one visit.
Do you hire machines out in Cumbria?
Yes. Hire starts at £85 and runs from a single day up to long-term contract hire, with the minimum charge one week at the weekly rate. Machines come from the same fleet our engineers maintain, so a hire truck is on the same service schedule as a bought one.
What paperwork do we get?
A service record for the work done and, where a thorough examination is carried out, a CFTS report of thorough examination. Reports need keeping until the next one is issued, and for two years in the case of a report on lifting accessories.
Can a service and a thorough examination be done on one visit?
Yes, and it is the sensible way to book it. One visit from Prescot covers both, the machine is off the job once, and you get the service record and the CFTS thorough examination report together.
Are parts carried on the van?
The common wear items are: filters, brake parts, hydraulic seals, forks, tyres, bulbs and belts. Anything less common is ordered against your machine's serial number and fitted on a return visit.
