Why a side loader

The long load never has to swing

01

Narrower aisles

A counterbalance truck has to turn a long load to move it down an aisle. That sets your aisle width, and aisle width sets how much you can store.

02

Through gateways

Carried lengthways, a long load goes through gateways a front-loading truck could never get it through.

03

One truck

Unload, move and rack long goods with one truck, and do without a second machine.

04

Typical loads

Steel, timber, pipes, aluminium profiles and building products.

05

Straight into racking

Builders' merchants and steel stockholders take bundles off a lorry and put them straight into cantilever racking.

06

Palletised stock

Where the stock is palletised rather than long, an articulated forklift is usually the better fit.
