Telehandlers on hire
Telehandler, rough terrain or diesel forklift
Telehandlers are available on hire; ask us which models are available now. A telehandler combines elements of a forklift and a crane, with a telescopic boom for lifting and placing materials. We supply JCB telehandlers.
Telehandler
Best for placing loads at height and reaching forward over obstacles, on uneven ground.
- Forward reach as well as vertical lift
- Trailers, bale stacks and materials at height
- Forks, buckets, bale clamps and jibs
Rough terrain forklift
Best for carrying a load across mud, gravel, hardcore and sloping ground.
- Large pneumatic tyres and high ground clearance
- Four wheel drive on most models
Diesel forklift
Best for yards, loading and outdoor work on firm ground.
- Up to 7 tonnes in the hire fleet
- From £108 a week for 2.5 tonnes, ex VAT
What a telehandler does
One machine, a range of jobs
Loading trailers
Forward reach means less re-positioning when placing or removing a load.
Stacking and placing
Bales, building materials and other loads placed at height around a yard or site.
Uneven ground
It works around barns, in yards and in other areas a standard forklift cannot reach.
Attachments
Forks, buckets, bale clamps and jibs, so one telehandler covers several tasks.
All year
Harvest and bale-making in summer, feeding, bedding and maintenance in winter.
Choosing one
Tell us the heaviest load including any attachment, the lift height, the ground and the working space.

Hire terms
How telehandler hire works
| Hire terms | |
|---|---|
| Minimum hire period | None. A machine can be hired for a day. |
| Minimum charge | One week at the weekly rate. |
| Contract | None on a short term hire. Extend the hire if the job runs on. |
| Thorough examination | Every hire machine goes out with a current thorough examination. |
| If a machine stops | You get your money back, and we send an engineer out to fix it. Where we judge it necessary we supply a stand-in machine. |
| Delivery | Nationwide from eight depots, on our own transport. Transport is charged separately and depends on where you are. |
| Prices | Every price on this site is ex VAT. |
| Longer term | Lease purchase, contract hire or operating lease, on new and used machines. See leasing and contract hire. |
If a hire runs on and starts to look permanent, we will say so, because past a certain number of months a longer agreement or buying is usually cheaper.
We run telehandler training: beginner, refresher and conversion courses, and the national course can be held at any site. We also provide servicing, repairs and thorough examinations for machines you already run.
