Our Partnership with Horndean Tyres

Our Partnership with Horndean Tyres

Our Marketing Department recently visited one of our customers, Horndean Tyres, based in Waterlooville. They are the leading independent service provider on the South Coast of England. Covering from Southampton, across to Eastbourne.

Horndean Tyres have gone from strength to strength since their Waterlooville site was founded in 1980. They have taken on many large fleets across the Hampshire area and beyond, including being our tyre provider for our depot which is less than a mile and a half away.

Jason Wiles, our Area Sales Manager, approached Peter at Horndean Tyres regarding their possible needs for Materials Handling Equipment within their operations. On a daily basis they transport tyres for lorries and big commercial vehicles up to the weight of half a tonne, of which they were moving by hand at the time of original contact with Jason.

Not only was Jason able to provide them with a Hyundai 15BTR-9, 3-wheel Electric Counterbalance truck to make the moving of tyres easier and more efficient, but it also improved the overall health and safety of the establishment.

Overall Horndean Tyres are happy with the service they have received from Acclaim Handling. This is down to the truck making their operations run much smoother in terms of transporting goods and has improved the well being and health of their employees as they no longer need to move them by hand.
