Top Health & Safety Accreditation Awarded to Acclaim Handling
Here at Acclaim Handling, we are pleased to announce that we have been awarded an accreditation from Alcumus SafeContractor for achieving excellence in health and safety in the workplace. This accreditation as a Safecontractor Approved Forklift Company complements our existing accreditations to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 as part of our long standing commitment to keeping up the best Health & Safety practices of any UK forklift company. Alcumus SafeContractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises extremely rigorous standards in health and safety management amongst contractors. It is used by thousands of organisations in the UK including SMEs and FTSE 100 companies. Our application for SafeContractor accreditation was driven by the need for a uniform standard across the business. We’re hoping the SafeContractor accreditation will be yet another way for us to show our continued commitment to safety, and will be viewed positively by our current and new customers. Gemma Archibald, Director of Alcumus SafeContractor said: “More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Acclaim Handling has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
Our Health and Safety Compliance Manager, Nick Griffiths said: “Our customers demand the best attention to Health & Safety which continues to be of paramount importance to Acclaim. We were the first independent forklift company in the UK certified to ISO 9001:2008 as well as becoming the first company in England to be accredited to OHSAS18001. This recognition as an approved Safcontractor means our forklift, racking and materials handling customers can continue to place their confidence in Acclaim”.
