For London employers, on-site training is usually the better choice: no travel, and every operator trained on the machine and in the space they use day to day.
What your site needs: the right trucks, a marked-out training area with racking and bulk stacking, and a room for the theory session. Not sure you have all three? Ask us and we will tell you.

Scheduled courses run at our three RTITB accredited centres through the year, and each centre's accreditation certificate is published on the course pages. Our Chatham training centre also runs courses, if its dates suit you better.

Fees shown are the training fee, ex VAT. Pallet trucks, stackers and access platforms take 1 to 2 days. If you choose national rather than in-house certification, a certificate and registration fee is added for each candidate.
The day rate is £360, ex VAT. A course for one experienced operator can be done in a day; a group of novices takes longer, and we give you the length and the total up front. Every course ends in nationally recognised certification.

How to book forklift training in London
- Tell us the truck, how many operators, and their experience. Those three things decide whether it is a novice, refresher or conversion course, and how many days it takes.
- Choose where it runs. For a business, that can be on your own site in London, or places on a course at our Purfleet training centre. If you are booking for yourself rather than through an employer, you train at one of our three centres.
- We confirm the length and the total before anything is booked. Every course ends in nationally recognised certification.

If you have been asked to get a forklift licence for a job in London, this is what you need. There is no forklift licence in UK law. What the law requires is that every operator is trained, assessed and authorised by their employer, and a certificate from an accredited course is how that training is evidenced. Forklift training in London: common questions
Do I need a forklift licence to work in London?
There is no forklift licence in UK law. Employers must make sure operators are trained, assessed and authorised, and a certificate from an accredited course is how that is evidenced.
Is the training accredited?
Yes. Acclaim is an RTITB accredited training provider, and RTITB is one of the accrediting bodies recognised by the HSE. Every course ends in nationally recognised certification.
Do you train on site in London?
Yes, and for a London business it is often the simpler option. We bring the instructor; you provide the trucks, a training area with racking and bulk stacking, and a space for the theory session.
Where is the nearest forklift training centre to London?
